We Are Not Waiting Anymore
There are moments in history when a community has to make a choice.
Not between left and right.
Not between political parties.
But between action and silence.
For too long, Iranian Americans have been spectators.
We have built businesses.
Raised families.
Succeeded in every corner of American life.
Yet when it comes to civic engagement, our voice remains largely absent.
Only a small percentage of Iranian Americans participate in elections.
Think about that.
Millions of our brothers and sisters in Iran have spent decades fighting for the freedoms we often take for granted here in America.
Some have been imprisoned for speaking their minds.
Some have been beaten for protesting.
Some have lost their lives for demanding the right to choose their own future.
Yet here, where we have the freedom to speak, organize, vote, and lead, too many of us remain on the sidelines.
That has to change.
I was born in Iran.
I understand what happens when freedom disappears.
I understand what happens when good people convince themselves that someone else will solve the problem.
History teaches the same lesson over and over again.
Freedom survives when ordinary people participate.
It disappears when they don't.
That is why We Are Cyrus exists.
Not as a political party.
Not as a campaign.
Not as a temporary project.
But as a movement.
A movement inspired by the legacy of Cyrus the Great, who understood that strength is not built through fear but through responsibility, dignity, and respect for human freedom.
We want more Iranian Americans registered to vote.
More Iranian Americans engaged in their communities.
More Iranian Americans showing up.
Because if we are not at the table, someone else will make decisions for us.
This movement is bigger than politics.
It is about responsibility.
It is about gratitude.
America gave many of us opportunities that our families could only dream about.
The question is whether we are willing to give something back.
The future will not be shaped by people who complain from the sidelines.
It will be shaped by people who participate.
People who organize.
People who lead.
People who show up.
That is what We Are Cyrus is building.
Not for one election.
Not for one candidate.
For a generation.
The time for waiting has passed.
The time for hoping someone else will do it has passed.
The time for action is now.

Because history does not remember those who stayed silent.
It remembers those who showed up.
